Graveside services for Opal J. Lockhart, 83, of Big Sandy, TX are scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 29. Service will be in San Domingo Cemetery, Bee County, Normana, TX under the direction of Galloway Funeral Home, Beeville. She passed away on December 24, 2015 in Tyler, TX.
Opal was born on July 26, 1932 in Robstown, TX to the late Henry Mickan and Clara K. Biels. She was an RN.
She is survived by daughters Cynthia Simonton and husband, Robert, San Antonio; Deborah Stovall, San Antonio; Laura Veale and husband, Bobby, Hunt; sons, Stephen Lockhart and wife, Laura, Big Sandy; Gary Lockhart and wife, Sandra, Corpus Christi. She is also survived by grandchildren: Natalie, James, Kathryn, Robert and Leticia, Justin and Misty, Jerred and Kelly; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous other nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Lockhart.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 29 at the Galloway Funeral Home in Beeville.
Arrangements were made under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home, Tyler.
