Rebecca Lynn Burt

Funeral services for Rebecca Lynn Burt, 59, of Tyler are scheduled for 1:00 pm Saturday March 2, 2019 at Green Acres Baptist Church. Ken Brumley will be officiating the service. Burial will be at Cathedral In The Pines Cemetery in Tyler, Texas.

Rebecca Lynn Burt was born November 21, 1959 in Tyler. She married Mark Burt on June 25, 1988. They have one son, Kent Burt of Tyler. Rebecca passed away on February 16, 2019, after complications from a brain hemorrhage on November 25, 2018.

Rebecca is preceded in death by her father, Dexta Rogers. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Mark Burt and her son, Kent Burt. Rebecca's mother, Glenda Rogers of Tyler, her brother, Ronald Rogers of Richmond Texas, her sister Patti Johnson of Granbury and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and a great nephew.

Rebecca graduated from Louisiana State University in 1982 with a degree in Statistics and a minor in computer science. She worked most recently for Trane/American Standard and Ingersoll Rand from 1995 through 2010. She volunteered to raise money for Junior Achievement in Tyler. She also enjoyed raising money and helping low income people with financial and family planning when she worked for her previous employer in Dallas.

Rebecca loved activities with family. She loved spending time at the family farm, fishing, boating, traveling and enjoyed the outdoors in general. She particularly loved playing with her two family dogs, Boo and Itty Bitty.

The family will welcome friends from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday March 2, 2019 at Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas.
