

Friday, July 21st Steve Halbert passed away peacefully at home after a brave fight through recent health issues. Steve was born May 10th, 1957 in Jacksonville, Texas to the late Robert L. and Patricia R. Halbert. Steve grew up in Tyler and graduated from Winona High School in 1975. After working in the car sales and finance industry in the Dallas area for many years, Steve moved back to Tyler to be closer to his family.
Steve was a born again Christian, a former president of the Tyler Jaycees, a Mason and loved being involved with his Desperados motorcycle club. Riding on the open roads gave him the freedom that matched his free spirit.
Left to cherish his memory include his wife Jaimy Halbert, his beloved children, Jennifer (Patrick) Davis of Tyler, Robert (Amie) Halbert Mineola, Golden Halbert Texas, and Patrick Halbert of Tyler and step-son Tayten Lee Ha. Adopted brother and dear friend, Jeff Coleman of Tyler and Sisters Judy Tipton, Jane (Marcus) Carroll of Tyler.
Also, cherished memories of “Pops” will last a lifetime for his grandchildren; Emmitt Brown, Aubrey Halbert, Ava Halbert, Brandon Davis, Bryce Davis, Golden Halbert, Jewel Halbert, Layla Halbert, Kaisley Halbert, and Ravenna Halbert
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home in Tyler. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 27th from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be held at Lloyd James Funeral home Friday, July 28th at 10:00 AM. Pallbearers will be Steve’s Desperado Brothers.
