Santiago Valdovinos Toribio

He was the son of Pedro Valdovinos and Lorenza Toribio. He was born in Limon, Michoacan

and moved to Acapulco, Guerrero where he met Minerva Garcia and they had 5 children who

were all born in Acapulco. Santiago came to the United States in 1993 and brought his family

with him in 1994 to give them the opportunity of a better life. Santiago has a total of 16

grandkids and 2 great grandkids.

Santiago went by many nicknames such as “Chago", and "Papi Prieto”. He cracked jokes every

time he got the chance to and loved to help others. He loved to eat, talk and refer to his younger

self as “William Levy”. He enjoyed dancing and loved the colors maroon and olive green. He

always had to make sure his belt matched his shoes no matter where he went. He had every job

possible according to him from a taxi driver to a movie star.

Not only did he care for his children and supported them he also cared for his grandkids and

made sure they had what they needed. He was a hard working man who successfully made a

business in the land of opportunity. To know him was to love him.

He is loved by many and will be missed by all. Rest in peace Santiago Valdovinos Toribio.

Santiago Valdovinos Toribio nació el 10 de mayo de 1956 y falleció el 30 de noviembre de 2023.

Era hijo de Pedro Valdovinos y Lorenza Toribio. Nació en Limón, Michoacán y se mudó a

Acapulco, Guerrero, donde conoció a Minerva García y tuvieron 5 hijos, todos nacidos en

Acapulco. Santiago llegó a los Estados Unidos en 1993 y trajo a su familia con él en 1994 para

darles la oportunidad de una vida mejor. Santiago tiene un total de 16 nietos y 2 bisnietos.

Santiago recibió muchos apodos como “Chago” y “Papi Prieto”. Hacía chistes cada vez que

tenía la oportunidad y le encantaba ayudar a los demás. Le encantaba comer, hablar y referirse

a su yo más joven como "William Levy". Le gustaba bailar y le encantaban los colores Marron y

Verde Olivo. Siempre tenía que asegurarse de que su cinturón combinara con sus zapatos, sin

importar a dónde fuera. Según él, tenía todos los trabajos posibles, desde taxista hasta estrella

de cine.

No sólo cuidó y apoyó a sus hijos, sino que también cuidó a sus nietos y se aseguró de que

tuvieran lo que necesitaban. Era un hombre trabajador que hizo con éxito un negocio en la

tierra de las oportunidades. Para conocerlo era amarlo.

Es amado por muchos y todos lo extrañaremos. Descanse en paz Santiago Valdovinos Toribio.

A celebración de la vida will occur Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Cathedral Of The Immaculate Conception, 423 S. Broadway Ave., Tyler, Texas.
