Sara was born in Jacksonville, Texas to Samuel Ross Gentry Sr. and Mamie Sue Turbyfill Gentry on October 26, 1926.
Sara went to Lon Morris College in Jacksonville, Texas and earned an Associates of Arts degree. She worked for many years in Bookkeeping Administration. Sara enjoyed travelling and cooking as hobbies and were her main interests.
Sara was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Ross Gentry Sr. and Mamie Sue Turbyfill Gentry, brother, Samuel Ross Gentry Jr., and husband, Kenneth Ray Harper. She is survived by three sons: Paul Anthony Dodson, Stephen Ross Dodson, and Richard Kirk Dodson and their families.
