

Services for Thomas J. (Tommy) Parrish, Jr., 78, of Tyler are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 11th, at Lloyd James Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 10th, from 6 to 8:00 p.m. at Lloyd James Funeral Home. Interment will be in Tyler Memorial Park.
Mr. Parrish passed away October 7, 2017, at the Waterton Plaza in Tyler.
He was born September 15, 1939, in Houston. Tommy graduated from Tyler High School in 1957. He was the owner of Parrish Alternator and Starter Service for 35 years and worked at Lloyd James Funeral Home for 17 years. He was a member of West Erwin Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Kay Parrish; his parents, Thomas J. and Bernice Parrish; and his in-laws, Lester and Gladys Singleton.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Shara and James Wehunt of Irving; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Melissa Parrish of Whitehouse; grandchildren, Justin and Sydney Parrish of Whitehouse; sister, Liz Albritton and husband O.C. of Chandler; sister-in-law, Carol Allen of Porter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank Nina Crow and JD & Sherry Osborn for their companionship, friendship and support. We would also like to thank Dr. Eric Smith and his office staff for their many years of loving care. Additionally, we would like to thank all the staff at Waterton Plaza for the love and care they have provided these past couple of years.
Pallbearers will be Justin Parrish, Lee Tindall, Gaylon Seagler, Sonny Hale, Donny Ingram and James Hughes. Honorary pallbearers will be Arnold Ables and Roy Fraley.
