Elizabeth Mary Smith

Elizabeth Mary Smith (nee. Rohr) 78, of Barnegat, passed away on Wednesday 4/20/16. She was born in New York City and lived for most of her life in Weehawken before moving to Barnegat 12 years ago. Elizabeth was the owner of the Zoo Lounge in Weehawken for many years before retiring. She was a well-known figure in the Weehawken community, famous for her Eggplant Parmesan.

She was the beloved wife of the late Robert J Smith and the devoted mother of Alan Dembroe and wife Karen, Debra Dembroe, Anne Krajewski and husband Chris and Lisa Grippo. She was the dear sister of John Rohr and wife Rosemary and the late Theresa Spicer. She was the loving grandmother of Craig Pinto, Kevin, Dembroe, Christopher Pinto, Matthew Dembroe, Corey Pinto, Nicholas Dembroe, Casey Pinto, Nicole Elizabeth Krajewski, Dana Ferrara, Derek Casanas and Deanna Casanas as well as her great grandchild Kylee Jeanne Pinto. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be on Monday 4/25/16 at 8:30 from the Leber Funeral Home then to St. Lawrence Church where at 9:30 a mass will be offered. The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. The visitation will be on Sunday 4/24/16 from 2 to 8pm
