John Mehl

John Mehl, age 68, of Union City, New Jersey, passed away on June 9th, 2024. "Uncle Johnny", son of Robert Mehl and June (McAvoy) and brother of late Robert R. Mehl was also the loving husband of Donna Rose Mehl. Uncle John was born in Jersey City and was majorly proud of most of the life he lived in North Bergen and Union City working for the postal office for 34 years before retiring. He is survived by his nieces and nephews and loving family that he held very close Andres Ruiz, Janice Mendez, Kelly Schor, Jay Trifun, Jillian Trifun and his great nieces and nephews Olivia Ruiz, Casey Schor, Michaela Trifun, and Jayden Trifun. He was the loving brother-in-law of Cathy Durant Ruiz, Rosemarie Durant, Lynne Trifun, Angel Ruiz, and Louis Trifun. Most of his special characteristics invoked the exciting memories he held of the historical moments he learned, experienced , and captured. He enjoyed taking pictures of his proud city of North Bergen. There wasn't a moment nor a person he would allow to pass that he wouldn't create memorable genuine conversations with. Anyone who encountered his presence could be sure of him leaving you with a smile from his open, honest , and genuinely kind and loving personality. So we ask at this time to please remember Johnny and celebrate him as he would want and think of him fondly as he would have you.
