Mr. Russo was born in "Downtown" Jersey City, and made a reputation for himself as an outstanding athlete in Ferris High School. He excelled in three sports, football, basketball and baseball. He was affiliated with "The Rag Doll" nightclub in Union City. He was owner & Proprietor of the County Seat Restaurant in Somerville, NJ and the Mezzanine Restaurant in New York City. He was also the owner of the Phoenix Construction Company during the 1980' s thru the 1990's.
He served consecutive terms on the Board of Directors in Troy Towers, Union City, NJ. He was a friend to all.
Surviving are his wife Lynn ( nee Werner ), three daughters, Niki Lynn, Joee' and Danielle Stelzl, two grandchildren Stone Tyler and Reider Cruz Stelzl, two brothers James and Robert Russo and many nieces and nephews.
