On August 14, 2021, Luz M. Velez, nee Morel, 103, passed away of natural causes, born in the Dominican Republic, she fled an oppressive dictatorship and came to the U.S. in 1946 for safety and a better life.
Survivors include her loving sons’ Andrew and Tony and her three adoring grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. A celebration Luz’s life will be held after the COVID pandemic is over. Her wish was to be cremated and buried with her husband Jose Velez at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lakewood, NJ.
