Mary A. Marchi (nee: Poli), 96, of Union City, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012. She was born New York City and lived in North Bergen for 13 years before moving to Union City 48 years ago. During World War II she was a Teacher in Fiano Italy before returning to Hudson County where she was a seamstress.
She was the beloved wife of the late Rinaldo Marchi and the devoted mother of Maria and her husband Thomas (Tom) Tyson. She was also the loving grand-mother of Bernie Tyson.
The funeral will be on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. from the Leber funeral Home then to Holy Family Church where at 10:30 a.m. a mass will be offered. The entombment will follow at Flower Hill Mausoleum. The visitation will be on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
