Mary E. Sieber

Mary Elizabeth Sieber (née Fleckenstein) died peacefully at home on October 17, 2021. A lifelong resident of Weehawken, Mary was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Sieber, loving daughter of the late Otto and Erminia Fleckenstein. She was a much loved and devoted sister of the heart to Donna Blauvelt, Joan Futterman, Arlene Thompson and many others.

Mary was predeceased by her brother, Robert (Alice) Fleckenstein, and is also survived by two nieces, Maria Fleckenstein and Elyse (Jeffrey) Creegan and a nephew, Richard Fleckenstein.

Mrs. Sieber retired from the State of New Jersey, Department of Labor, where she was the Chief Appeals Examiner for Unemployment and Disability Insurance for many years.

Mary loved the theater, on Broadway and in London. She traveled every year to London to enjoy the shows there and saw every new show she could. Mary loved the Guiding Light and the Young and the Restless and was very involved with her soap opera fan clubs, traveling to Hollywood to enjoy the activities and the award programs, including a walk-on part in the Young and the Restless.
