

Alvina Howard Pomroy, age 91, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. She was born in Parkers Lake, Kentucky on May 16th, 1932 to William Virgil Howard and Laura Virginia Barrett-Howard.
Alvina Pomroy had a career in the Accounting Dept. at K-Mart in Dayton, Ohio. She was a member of Universal City Methodist Church and choir, a former member of the Windcrest UTSA Tennis League, "Alley Cats", a member of the Nekodah Temple No. 44 Daughters of the Nile, a member of the Omaha Caldron No. 98 Daughters of the Mokanna, and a Schertz Senior Serenader. Alvina had a passion for gardening, expert seamstress, cake decorating, handcrafting, painting, and she loved all types of games, specifically Dominoes.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Sue Regan, her late husband, Jimmy Henry Pomroy, her sons in law, Richard Kenneth and John A. Kaehler, her parents, William Howard and Laura Barrett-Howard, her siblings, Mildred Alene Vanover, Herbert Don Howard, Flonnie Lee gates, Mary Louise Benefield, Lee Rose Anderson, Hele Sue Whitehead, and Alma Ruth Warren, all of Kentucky and Ohio.
She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Kay Lambert of Helotes, Texas, and Patricia Ann Kaehler of Dayton, Ohio. Her grandchildren, John Michael and Emily Ann Kaehler, Blakey Patrick and Krista Michelle Griffin, and Megan Richelle Lambert and her husband Jesse Allan Mudgett. Her Stepdaughter, Angellett Victoria Kaehler-Cook. Her brothers, Jimmy Ray Howard, Carl Vernon Howard, Grover Lee Howard and her sister, Alfreda Ogle. She was also a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
