MSGT Arnold R. “Arnie” Murray U.S. Air Force Retired passed away on Sunday August 7, 2011 at the age of 74. He was born on April 29, 1937 to Ralph and Ina Murray in Lexington, New York. He was a member of VFW Post 4676, Legion Post 2 in Augusta, Maine, and was a life member Mason of Altus Lodge Number 62 of Altus, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mildred Murray; children, Timothy P. Murray (wife Betty Lou) of Florida, Tina Marie Murray of Maine, Terrie Ann Standish (husband Dwayne) of Maine; 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; and sister, Joyce Peckham (husband Danny) of New York. A visitation will be held on Wednesday August 10 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a funeral service on Thursday August 11 at 6:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the charity of your choice. The family would like to thank Dr Burzlaff, Dr Im, the nurses in the ICU at Northeast Methodist Hospital, Jim McPhee, Mary Stone and the many close friends that helped.
