Arthur Taylor Castle Jr

Arthur Taylor Castle, Jr., age 87 passed away May 19, 2014. He was born June 13, 1926 in Stockdale, Texas to Arthur Taylor Castle, Sr. and Bessie Belle (Bird) Castle. Mr. Castle retired in 1989 after serving 40 years in laundry, valet, and concierge management at the St. Anthony Hotel. His greatest passion was riding horses. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Frances Koch; wife, Marjorie Castle. Survivors include his son, Todd Castle and his wife Ada; daughter, DeDe Gatens; son-in-law, Michael Gatens; grandchildren, Randy Castle and his wife Carrie, Ryan Castle, Ashby Gatens, and Garrett Gatens; great granddaughter, Makenzi; sisters, Dorothy Reed and Margie Weatherford; numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. and funeral services will be Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Colonial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 1701 Austin Hwy. The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Freeman and the staff at Wellmed Greenway Park, the staff at Fresenius Broadway Dialysis Center, and Odyssey Hospice for the excellent medical care they gave him.
