Barbara Jean Day

Barbara Jean (Schuchardt) Day left this world to be with our Lord on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the age of 66 years. Barbara was born October 27, 1949; grew up in San Antonio; graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1967; and later attended San Antonio College. She lived with her husband in Live Oak for 30 years; then settled outside of Seguin in 2005. Barbara had an infectious smile, a quick wit, and always knew how to bring laughter into any conversation. Over the years, she touched the lives of many. Barbara had a beautiful voice and loved to worship the Lord singing songs of praise and worship. She was a committed Christian; and a member of Forest Hills Church of Seguin, Texas. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Benjamin F. Day; and infant son, Cody Day; in addition to her parents, Hilmar and Mildred Schuchardt. Surviving her is her beloved son, Brian Everett Day; and grandson, Cody Everett Day. Barbara also leaves behind a sister Linda Nichols, and husband Johnny; nephews, Johnny Nichols, Jr. and wife, Charlene; Marty Nichols and wife, Terri; and great nephew, Johnny Nichols, III. Also mourning her passing is Alayna Alexander, Barbara’s dear friend and caretaker; along with many friends and extended family. A graveside service for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Smith Cemetery in Bergheim, Texas. Officiating will be David Sowell of Forest Hills Church.
