Carolyn Jo Duffy

Carolyn was a telephone operator, seamstress, and homemaker. She was avid at knitting, crochet, and needlepoint. She made many beautiful wedding gowns and dresses.

Carolyn was a 65 year member of Beta Sigma Thi sorority with perfect attendance. She was a member of the Randolph AFB Church Chapel where she worked in the office and was on the social committee. She was one of the first members inducted into the Randolph AFB Chapel Hall of Fame.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, loving daughter Erin Wood, nephew Patrick Duffy, and brother-in-law Ron Duffy.

Left to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 65 years James (Tom) Duffy, son Tim (Colleen) Duffy, grandson Bradley Wood, son-in-law KT Wood, step-granddaughter Jennifer Duffy, Brother Mike (Alma) Duffy, Sister-in-law Lena Duffy, Sister-in-law Pat (Junie) Rogers. Many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

A visitation for Carolyn will be held Wednesday, October 15, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with recitation of the Holy Rosary from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM, at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148. Funeral Mass will will be celebrated from 9:15 AM to 10:00 AM Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Randolph AFB Chapel, Randolph AFB, TX 78150. A committal service will follow from 11:15 AM to 11:35 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
