

SFC Chester R. Sinclair, SR. U.S. Army Retired, aged, 79, passed away on August 14th, 2016. He was born on February 21, 1937 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Emma Mc Quarry and Elmer Sinclair. He was a lifetime member of the Converse Volunteer Fire Department as a fireman and an EMT. SFC Sinclair also served in Korea and did two tours of Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Dona Sinclair. Sinclair is survived by his children Brenda Sinclair, Barbara Sinclair, Chuck Sinclair and Ricky Sinclair (Rennell); grandchildren Brandon Sinclair, Amber Sinclair, Lacie Sinclair; step grandchildren Heather Surritt, Trey Alder and Travis Woolf; great-grandchildren Victoria Sinclair, Christopher Sinclair, Nathan Sinclair and Acelynne Faour; brother Louis Sinclair; sisters Lou and Alberta and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 17, 2016 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Colonial Funeral Home on Kitty Hawk in Universal City. Interment will be on Thursday August 18th, 2016 at 9:30am at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors. A memorial service will be held on Thursday August 18th, 2016 at Alamo Heights Christian Church starting at 11am with reception to follow at the church.
