It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher Michael Montgomery, age 40, who departed from us on Friday, July 4, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. Christopher was born on June 3, 1985, in Los Angeles, California, to Lilia V. Montgomery and Ardell Montgomery. He was christened at Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles, California, at three months old, and at the age of six, he gave his heart to Jesus and became a Christian at Crenshaw Christian Center, founded by Dr. Frederick K.C. Price.
From an early age, Christopher's intelligence and alertness were evident. He consistently achieved "A" Honor Roll status throughout his elementary, middle, and most of his high school years. After moving to San Antonio in 1992, he attended Olympia Elementary, Kitty Hawk Middle School, and Judson High School. He proudly graduated on May 31 from Eagle Academies of Texas and went on to study for two years at the University of Houston.
Christopher had a deep love for basketball. In his adult years, he discovered a passion for cooking and built a successful career as a chef. He contributed his culinary talents to esteemed restaurants such as P.F. Chang's, 50/50 Family Restaurant, The Hyatt Hotel Restaurant, Colonial Room in the Menger Hotel, and Tower of the Americas in San Antonio.
Christopher is preceded in death by his father, Ardell Montgomery, and grandparents, Lothan R. Raphael and Carmen Raphael.
