

David Rowland Newman born October 20, 1941 in Stillwater, Minnesota to Clarence Green and Esther Clay was called to home on June 4, 2017, to be reunited with Ingrid his wife of 30 years, his Sisters and Parents. David’s love of life, family and fishing will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his daughter Sheri LeMasters (Newman), and sons David and Brandon Newman (wife Victoria) Step Daughters Diana Fox, Susana Powell (husband Brad) Patricia Neeley (husband Jim), and step son Jeffrey Fox. Sister Sandy Anderson (husband Randy). Grandchildren Shianne, Kiana, Jarod, Ashley, Justin, Miranda, Cody, Jayson, and Gavyn as well as one Great Granddaughter Aubrei. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.
David is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals, including National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Combat infantry Badge, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Vietnamese Civil Actions Unit Citation, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Army Commendations Medal (1st Oak Leaf Cluster) along with numerous awards and commendations.
Visitation will be held at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Rd, Universal City, Texas 78148. on Thursday June 15, 2017 from 8:00 am-10:00 am with Funeral Services at 10:00 am followed by full Military internment at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Officiating will be Gene Davis.
