Dennis was born in Syracuse, New York to parents Marjorie and Edward Pfohl.
Dennis worked for the Texas Highway Department for 30 years, helping to maintain our roads. Dennis also served in the United States Army and traveled to locations, like Korea. He then joined the Army National Guard and oversaw 60 helicopter mechanics fixing Cobra helicopters. Dennis rose through the ranks and retired as an E7, Sergeant First Class. Despite living to be an accomplished veteran, one of Dennis’ earliest ambitions was to be a professional basketball player.
Dennis was a people person, making friends wherever he went. His love for his family was unmatched and he cherished his wife, Lynn, and watching their children evolve into the successful adults he knew they would become.
In his spare time, Dennis loved sports like basketball, bowling, racquetball and even table tennis. Dennis was also a fan of cruising.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Lynn Pfohl; children: Shawn Pfohl (Alona) , Danielle Woods (Forrest), and Melissa Brenot; grandchildren: Shawna Pfohl, Shea Greene, Kevin Ganley, Nicollette Kelley, Bethany Peters (Josh), Sebastien Brenot, and Anais Brenot, and great-granddaughter: Olivia Peters.
We will remember Dennis as a man who loved his family, loved to make friends, and as a fair and honest person who always kept his promises.
