Dennis Lee Schryver

Dennis Lee Schryver was born June 7, 1953 and passed away surrounded by loved ones on June 15, 2016 at the age of 63. He is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca Schryver; daughters, Brandi Myers and Michelle Schryver; sons, Dennis Schryver Jr., Ace Shonka and Andy Schryver; brothers, Ivan, George and Ira; sisters, Diane, Sally, Ruby, Gloria, Virginia and Shirley along with numerous other family members. Dennis was born in Bradford, Pennsylvania to parents, Henry and Virginia. He was loved by many and made lifelong friends wherever he went. He had a passion for fishing, woodworking and playing the drums. He especially enjoyed having his friends come together with their instruments and spent many hours playing long into the night. Dennis graduated high school at the age of 17 and joined the United States Air Force, where he served honorably for eight years as a Military Police Officer; first being stationed in Germany, then Florida and eventually San Antonio where he retired and made his home. Dennis touched many hearts and will be dearly missed by all.

A visitation will be held on June 22, 2016 at Colonial Funeral Home between 5:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral service will be held on June 23, 2016 at 8:00am also at Colonial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 9:45am.
