Edna Mae Thompson

Edna Mae Thompson, born May 2, 1920, passed away on April 30, 2015. Edna was born in Wellsville, Ohio to Clifford and Rose Stone. She married Clarence Thompson on August 8, 1940. Edna worked at Ogilvie’s Department Store in East Liverpool, Ohio. Together they had two daughters; Joyce Ann Anders of San Antonio, TX and Linda Sue Wallner of Hastings, MN. Clarence died in December 1989. After his death Edna moved to Texas where her daughter lived.

Edna is a member of Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church. She loved to travel and spend time with family and friends. She also enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Society.

Edna is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Thompson, brother Bill Stone, Son-in-law Harold Anders and grandsons Dale Anders and Jim Wallner. Edna’s surviving loved ones include daughters Joyce Anders and Linda (Dale) Wallner, grandchildren Mike (Angel) Anders, Gregg (Kelly) Wallner, and Tracy (Andy) Henderson. Edna is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Edna Mae Thompson will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at 2:00PM at Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church. The Funeral Service will follow at 2:30PM. Graveside Services will be Monday, May 4, 2015 at 9:15 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
