Ella was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served for 11 years in Special Services. She was also a committed member of M.A.D.D. for 10 years, and a devoted leader in Girl Scouts for 51 years. Ella also loved crafting and writing.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Alexis Carrasco, and mother Luella Gardner.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years Alfred Carrasco, son Scott Miller, sister Helen Viklund and 2 nieces Gerrilynn Ducharme and Deana Battles.
A visitation for Ella will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with rosary at 6:30 PM on Monday, January 20, 2025 at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at St. Monica Catholic Church, 501 North St., Converse, TX 78109. A committal service with military honors will follow from 11:30 AM – 11:50 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
