Ella Mae Choo Hammerstrom

Ella Mae Hammerstrom went into the arms of her Father on March 31, 2014, at the age of 79. She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years Duane Edward Hammerstrom, daughter Jana Lee Normandin and spouse Ian Normandin, daughter Sherry Lee Kenisky and spouse Frank Kenisky IV, mother Clara K. Alameida, sister Patricia Ann Sagon, brother Jere Francis Choo and spouse Carleen Choo, grandson Ryan Leighton Normandin and spouse Grace DeMaris Normandin, granddaughter Whitney Lorraine Pack and spouse Jared Brandon Pack, grandson Jeremy Brandon Kenisky, granddaughter Courtney Michelle Kenisky, and great-grandchildren Aryana Elise Normandin and Caleb Landon Pack. She served in the U.S. Air Force in Air Operations, retired from Alcatel-Lucent, was a Charter Member of the Economic Development Council of Live Oak, and enjoyed planning trips and activities for her children and grandchildren. The family of Ella Mae Hammerstrom would like to extend their gratitude to Virginia Carmona for her loving care, and to the staff of CIMA Hospice. A memorial service will be held at Colonial Funeral Home Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 6:00 P.M. Interment will be at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors for the family.
