Emily A. Straub, age 89 of San Antonio passed away February 11, 2011. She was born October 27, 1921 in Schenectady, New York to Ludwig and Stephania (Magda) Karandy. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Straub; sisters, Addie,Sophie and Eleanor; brother, Joe. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Wright and her partner Adella Freeman; grandchildren, Steven Wright, Jason Wright and wife Brandy, Emily Wright, Chris Wright, Nicholas Zamora, Meagan Zamora and Dakota Freeman Wright; great grandchildren, Anthony Wright, Karis Jones, Antonio Wright and Kendall Jones; sisters, Marie Zeh, Wendy Devlin and husband Robert, Louise Karandy, Betty Karandy; brothers, Martin Karandy, Fred Karandy and wife Jeannie and Eugen Karandy; numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home.
