Eugene Burroughs Jr.

Eugene Burroughs, Jr. passed away on July 30, 2012 at the age of 54. He was born on September 7, 1957 in Camden, South Carolina. Eugene served in the US Air Force from Oct 1974 – Oct 2000. He retired at the rank of CMSgt. He served in the postal career field for over 20 years and his proudest accomplishment was that of serving as a Basic Military Training Instructor from 1985-1988. Eugene was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Burroughs, Sr.; survived by his mother, Thelma Burroughs; loving wife, Yolanda Burroughs; children, Clifton Burroughs, wife Stephanie, Mariah Alexander, husband Bobby and Paul Ditty; sister, Jannette Auguar, husband Curtis Conyears; brother, Mason Burroughs, wife Sandra; and several nieces and nephews. He was a member of the VFW and a Mason. A visitation will be held on Friday, August 3, 2012 from 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. with the funeral service beginning at 3:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery will take place at a later date.
