Frances Jean Young passed away on Monday March 11, 2013 at the age of 76. Jean was born on November 17, 1936 in Spring Hope, North Carolina to Pomp and Mary Dawson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer L. Young; and son, James L. Young. She is survived by her son, Steven D. Young; 4 grandchildren Tracey Gutierrez, Robert, John and Jarrod Young; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; brothers, Travis Dawson and wife Jan, John David Dawson and wife Shirley, James and June Young; extended family Sylvia Young, Linda Stokes, Nanci Henderson, Dori Young and Jamie Burchfield. A visitation will be held on Sunday March 17, 2013 from 1:00 until 4:00 PM with a funeral service on Monday March 18 at 12:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
