Ingrid Renate Motzler Newman

Ingrid Renate Newman born March 6, 1944 in Morenhofen, Germany to Herbert and Katherina Motzler was called home by God on June 10, 2012. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister whose passion for life and her love for family will never be forgotten. She was truly the queen of bingo, bargain shopping, and spending quiet time reading; but most of all she was the queen of our hearts.

She is survived by her loving husband, David Newman of Converse, TX, three daughters; Diana Fox of Schertz, TX, Susana Powell (husband Brad) of Bossier City, LA, Patricia Neeley (husband Jim) of Converse, TX, two sons; Jeffery Fox of Converse, TX and Brandon Newman (wife Victoria) of Houston, TX, and two step children; Sheri LeMasters of Roy, WA and David Newman of Tacoma, WA. Six grandchildren; Ashley and Justin Powell of Bossier City, LA, Miranda and Cody Neeley of Converse,TX, Shianne LeMasters of Roy, WA and Kiana Newman of Buckley, WA. Two great grandchildren; Aubrei Powell of Bossier City, LA and Jayson Newman of Houston, TX. Two sisters; Ursula Aparicio (husband Joe) of San Antonio, TX, Silvia Klueppelberg-Pinkel (husband Hanzi) of Germany. One brother; Josef Motzler (wife Emmi) of Germany. Six nieces; Melissa Camacho (husband Eddie) of San Antonio, TX, Sandra Kern (husband Stephen) of Germany, Jenny, Tina, Anna, and Lena Motzler of Germany. One nephew; Mark Aparicio (wife Gallie) of Midland, TX. One great niece; Katherine Aparicio of Bulverde, TX. Five great nephews; Steven and Robin Kern of Germany, Blake and Brock Aparicio of Midland, TX, and Niklas Heizen of Germany.

She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Katherina Motzler of Germany.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday June 20, 2012 from 9:00am-10:00am followed by service at 10:00am at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Rd, Universal City, TX 78148 with internment following the service at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Barbara Plexico of Open Door Ministries, Canyon, Lake, TX.
