Jacqueline Lee Green Spring

Jacqueline Lee Spring passed away peacefully on July 10, 2013, at the age of 98 in the Army Retirement Community of San Antonio, Texas. Jackie led a life of adventure, world travel, artistry, and devotion to family. Her children fondly remember the way she was always ready for a challenge, and how her spirited, infectious drive often got them into enterprises they would never have experienced, nor even imagined, without her vivacious influence. Jackie spent most of her life married to Halford Robert (Bob) Greenlee, Jr., a Colonel with 30 years in the US Army. After Bob passed away in 1979, she married Sidney G. Spring, also a retired colonel from the US Army. Sid and Bob had been classmates and friends all the way back to their days at West Point. Jackie is survived by Halford R. Greenlee, III, and his two children and wife Emma, of Cocoa Beach, Florida, Jason M. Greenlee and his four children and wife Leslie of San Antonio, Texas, Frank N. Greenlee of Newport, Virginia, Michael C. Spring of Miami, Florida, Mary C. Spring of Silver Spring, Maryland, and Martin J. Spring of Carlsbad, California. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Army Residence Community Chapel.
