We are very sorry to learn of Jerry's passing. We lived in Saudi Arabia with Jerry and Yolanda and would frequently visit them there. I worked in the same hanger as Jerry and he always had a smile and a joke to tell. Our thoughts and prayers are with Yolanda and family at this time of mourning their loss.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Aunt Yolanda, cousins Jerry and Matthew.  I will miss Uncle Jerry, but know someday I will see him again.  I love you all and hate I couldn't make it.  You all will continue to be in my prayers.

I worked with Jerry at Boeing.  I just loved to listen to all of his stories during lunch down in the cafeteria.  (Jerry always ate better than me because his wife made him nice lunches.)   We'd talk some about our common Catholic faith, about news of the day etc.  But I most enjoyed listening to Jerrys' stories of his days in the service.  You and your family will surely remain in my prayers Jerry....   Matt

It is crushing to here that this good man is gone. But I've missed Jerry since he retired from Boeing. We were office neighbors more than three years, and his professional knowledge and willingness to help were superb. His sense of humor kept a smile on my face. Nearly every day, with lunch box in hand, as he walked by would comment "time to feed this machine". And when he had enough of work for the day, I knew he was on his way out when saying "Think I'm going to go throw up in the bushes". He really captivated me with frequent jokes and stories. My favorite had to be the longest story of all. It was over 20 minutes of precious detail about a multi-car trip to San Antonio area from somewhere up north. A woman with a dog was in one of the cars and turned off the path somewhere in Oklahoma, got lost, car towed, dog impounded, etc. Unbelievably funny when she ended up with wrong dog. To hear the way Jerry told that story is priceless. Still makes me smile. Everyone in the office also requested Jerry's special cake when we had potluck lunches. 
My condolences to the Phillips family, and thank you for your sacrifices during Jerry's service to our country.

Dear Yolanda, Matt, and family:  Words cannot express the depth of my sorrow over your loss.  I've always had great respect for Jerry and will always treasure the memories, especially during the Gulf War, while I was stationed in Saudi.  Mom and Dad wanted me to relay their condolences to you.  I know there is nothing we can say or write to ease the pain, but please know that my family, Nicole, Lauren, Logan, Liam, and the rest of the Whites are praying for you and your family.
