

Affectionately known as “Mima”, Joan loved spending time with her family & friends. She loved gardening, was an amazing seamstress and had a career that spanned over 50 years (including 33 at AAFES). She was a devout Catholic, loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend to all.
Joan is preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold, of over 50 years, her daughters Sherry, Sandy and son Henry. She is survived by her daughter Suzi Leavell and husband Calvin: Her grandchildren: Paul, Brian, Allan, Shane (Korey) and Lauren (Lawrence); Great-grandchildren: Kayleigh, Faith, Ellison, Selah, Taylor & Taz. She is also survived by her sisters Madeline, Maureen, brother Harry, and numerous other close family and friends. Joan will be dearly missed by all but never forgotten. Rest in peace Mima.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Colonial Funeral Home, Universal City with interment at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.colonialuniversal.com.
