

On December 22, 1948 she married in the LDS Salt Lake temple the love of her life, Franklin J. Faux, a marriage that lasted over 65 years.
She graduated from the College of Southern Utah (now SUU) in 1964 with a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education. After having moved to Riverside, California in 1966, she taught 3rd grade and became a Reading Specialist for a total of 23 years in Moreno Valley, California. After retiring in 1989, she spent five years researching and writing an extremely detailed 625-page book entitled, “Our Mayflower Ancestors and Their Descendants.” The book, deposited in many genealogy libraries across the nation, was a testament to her intelligence and scholarship. She was a devoted Latter-day Saint, and she always was a strong believer in the power of prayer. She loved cooking, reading, and traveling. She was a student of history, philosophy, and psychology.
She is survived by her sons Steven Faux (Crystal) and Brian Faux (Belinda). She has five grandchildren (Austin Faux, Colin Faux, Nathan Faux, Brian Jordan Faux, & Solomon Scott) and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by eleven siblings.
There will be a memorial service: Arlette Day Cultural Hall, 4914 S. State St., Murray, UT at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, Oct. 8th. Afterward, interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial, 3401 South Highland Dr., Salt Lake City.
