Jocelyn L. Phinney Kutz

Jocelyn L. Phinney Kutz passed away Thursday, March 3, 2011 at the age of 83. She was born January 1, 1928 in Boston, Massachusetts to William and Elizabeth Kelley Phinney. She grew up in Bridgeport, Conn., spending summers with relatives in Middleton, Nova Scotia. She married her husband Gerald in 1952 and spent her life as an Air Force officer’s wife and mother of two daughters, living in South Dakota, Texas, Alabama, New York, Guam and California. She has been a resident of San Antonio since 1974 when Gerald retired. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald A. Kutz; and sister, Joan Weed. Survived by her daughters, Tricia Aleman and Rebecca Hudson, her husband Curt; grandson, Andrew Cassedy. Her life will be celebrated in a visitation on Monday, March 21, 2011 between 5:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, Texas 78148. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at 7400 Louis Pasteur Drive, Suite 200, San Antonio, Texas 78229.
