John William Dunn passed away on August 20, 2014 at the age of 92. He was born on May 30, 1922 in Pawnee, TX to Morgan Leeroy and Eva Mae “Holland” Dunn. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1941 and retired with 27 years of service and later retired from the U.S. Civil Service after serving 29 years. John was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Universal City. John was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Andrew Clinton Dunn and Leeroy Dunn; Survivors include his son, Terry William Dunn and granddaughter, Cathy Lievanos both of Vista, CA; sister, Mildred Sorenson and husband Belton of Corpus Christi; brother, Holland Dunn and his wife Maurice (Mo) of Houston and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 25, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
