Kazuko K. Smith

Kazuko was born on February 17, 1932 in Kobe, Japan to Toshiki Kiyooka and Miyoko Kubota. While working on the military base in Yokota, Japan she met Air Force Sargeant Durwood Smith and married. After marrying they moved to Schertz, Texas where she lived for 50 years. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Durwood; parents Toshiki and Miyoko and elder sister Yoko Murata. She is survived by her sister Akiko Kanamaru; nephew Hiroshi Kanamaru; niece Naomi Nakagawa; great nieces Maine Nakagawa and Tomoha Nakagawa; great nephews Akira Nakagawa, Shingo Murata, Go Murata and Shinji Murata; sisters-in-law Bessie Kyle, Nellie Graham and Geneva Morell. In addition to a loving family Miss Kay leaves behind a multitude of friends that will miss her loving spirit. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home.
