

Lee was born in La Feria, TX and grew up in Mercedes, TX born to Charles and Consuelo Rivera.
Lee served his country proudly for 23 years, joining the United States Air Force in 1960, he retired honorably in 1983, with tours to; Kadena AF base, Okinawa, Japan, Guam, Roswell, New Mexico, Wake Islands, Hawaii, Saigon, Vietnam, Bangkok, Thailand, Luzon Island, Philippines, and attended the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO., where in the summer of 1964 he met the love of his life, Mardene Fimple. Nine months later, they were wed and spent 58 years happily married. Their union brought forth five children and four grandchildren.
Lee began his second career for VIA Metropolitan Transit, in 1984 as a bus driver, where his hard work and tenacity was quickly recognized. He graduated with an associate degree in Realty from Saint Phillip’s College. He advanced into management and retired in 2003 as Safety Supervisor.
Lee was actively involved as an Ordained Minister at the Good Shepard Catholic Church in Schertz, TX.
He enjoyed gardening, raising birds, fishing, sporting events, grilling, spending time with his family, and enjoyed the Judson Rockets football games as a season ticket holder.
Lee was always ready to share a smile, a kind word and his many pearls of wisdom. Lee was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
Lee is survived by, wife- Mardene, daughters- Marcella, Christina, Mary, Michele, and their son, Michael. Grandchildren- Amanda, Jesse, Romeo, and Emma.
