

Anthony was born on March 17, 1954 at Ramey Air Force Base, Puerto Rico and spent most of his career serving in the United States Air Force. He served in the Air Force from 1971 to 1984, and in the Air Force Reserves from 1984 to 1994. Anthony also worked at the United States Postal Service from 1984 until retirement. During his time in the military, Anthony was able to visit most of the countries in the world. He was especially proud of his time in the Office of Special Investigations. He was an exemplary soldier and served his country with honor. During his time with the U.S.P.S., Anthony served as the union president and never lost a case.
On June 16, 1973, Anthony married the love of his life at the Randolph AFB main chapel and started his family. Anthony was a wonderful man who had a strong love for his family and the military. Anthony was a proud member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints, where he served as a Boy Scout Master and Youth Leader. He was an incredibly intelligent individual who was a member of MENSA and he had an amazing ability to connect with everyone he met. He also enjoyed many hobbies, such as fishing, woodworking, and teaching his children how to shoot and track. He also absolutely loved his dogs.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Cecilia Y’barbo Street; son, Robert Street of Marion; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Jason Smallwood, of Schertz; grandchildren Thomas Street, Naython Smallwood, Sarah Street, and baby Smallwood (due in November); and his sister, Karen Wood. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Street and Erma Wright Street Wood and Bert Wood; his sister, Kathy “Kitty” Street Shaw; and his service dog, George.
A viewing and funeral will be held in honor of Anthony on July 20 and 21, respectively. The viewing will be held from 5-8 p.m. at the Colonial Funeral Home (625 Kitty Hawk Rd, Universal City). The funeral will begin at 10 a.m. at the same location, with a burial to follow at Fort Sam Houston. The family welcomes expressions of condolences. A memory box will be provided for photos or memories you wish to share with the family.
