Lola was such a kind soul and saying goodbye is really heartbreaking. Lola  I doubt if we will ever be able to get over the pain of your passing. Tears would not let me pin down how amazing you were.. All I can say is we are heart broken, but we take solace in the fact that we know you are in a better place, free from sickness and pain. Goodbye darling Lola .. You will be forever missed and never forgotten. 💕

To my family, the family of my dearest Aunt Lola: be assured that Auntie is rejoicing with our Lord, her parents, brothers (my dad, Earnest), my mom (Joyce, born on same day April 11th and transitioned 9/2/2020)! 
It may not feel good to us now because we will miss her so much but the encouragement is that we can/will see her again! I loved her style, class and loving, giving heart. I have learned and adopted so many great qualities from Aunt Lola and will continue to carry on her and the Proudme legacy! A fond memory of Aunt Lola was during a visit to Texas, she took me through her many clothes and I was thinking 'she is so sharp, so fly!'. We would often talk about our clothes and sizes and family! I will love Aunt Lola forever! 
May the Lord keep and comfort us in His perfect peace now and forever!

Sweet Lola~ I have been truly blessed the last 7 years with you in my life. From Day 1 you welcomed me into your family with open arms and a big bright smile! I loved sitting and talking with you. Listening to your wonderful childhood memories, military family life and your sage advice. I could have never imagined that I would love the game of football but you Lola, made sure I was the best fan I could be. I remember the very first game we went to I drove us back to the house because it was so cold and we listened on the radio which I never knew was possible. The next season I was “broke in” and started cheering, I looked over at you and you said LOUDER! So from that day forward I was yelling for both of us Lola! I will miss you so much! I love that you always saw the best in others~ An amazing and loving Mother, Grandmother and True Friend! God has truly gained an Amazing Angel to watch over us. As we always said before parting, Love You! This is not goodbye~ It is until we meet again. Rest In Peace Sweet Lola!🦋🌸🦋🌺

Lola Lewis was like a second mother to me. She took me under her wings when I was a single parent raising my son while my parents were in Ohio for 3 years. She taught me how to carry myself and be professional at my job.  She always dressed to the nines and looked beautiful everyday. I admired her in so many ways. She had a beautiful soul and a loving, caring heart.  I love you Diva Queen and we'll meet again someday!

Ms Lola, I will forever remember the times your house got toilet papered. It was all in the Fun and love of Rocket 🚀 Pride and Judson Rockets football! Other then that you enjoyed the #47 Scrapbook I gave you, Charles and JJ! You will be greatly missed by so many. I know you will have be an amazing Angel. My best friend was like a sister to me.  I met Lola in 1974, through the inquisitiveness of another friend. Our husbands knew her husband, but we never knew why they didn’t introduce the wives, since we were all new to the little town in Wichita Falls, Tx, Sheppard AFB, and we all lived in the same military housing complex.  So, my nosy friend said, I want to meet Charles Lewis wife.  I’m the shy one, So I said how are we going to do that?  So she said, she come by my house every day, lets follow her, even at 28 years old, peer pressure:  So we did:  When she got out of her car, dressed like a million dollar, my friend, said “are you Charles Lewis’s wife?”.  With a little attitude, she said yes I am, My friend says I am------------and this is my friend Barbara.  That was the beginning of the rest of my life, I had a new baby boy, I gave her my information and she came by to see him, with a newborn gift.  From that day on she was the help and support through my life little challenges.  We became so close, she was the one I relied on in time of stress, and the one who shared my life stories, I certainly hoped I did the same for her.  I can’t put 54 years in a paragraph.

Goodbye my sister.  I can’t stand to see you go, but I’ll always remember what we were. Rest in heaven sister, take comfort in what is next.  I will be there too.

Lola is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles, sons Anthony and JJ, and five grandchildren: Vanessa, Michael G., Derrick, Kristen, and Lindsey. She was preceded in death by her two sons Bobby and Charles Jr.
