Loretta Thonig Leonard

Loretta graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School in 1960 and obtained employment at the Highway Department and later at SACU where she retired after 30 years of employment.

She enjoyed macrame, flower arrangements, plants, rocks, her grandkids and her great grandkids. She was a very kind and supportive mother.

Loretta is preceded in death by her mother and father, Thekla & Leopold Thonig; sisters, Marie Krause and Carolyn Thonig and brother Ralph Thonig. She is survived by her sisters, Ceil Hannon and Anne Pustejovsky; daughters, Debbie Baker and Lisa Leonard, son-in-law’s Donnie Baker and Eric Rachal; grandsons, Daniel Baker, Dustin Baker and Christopher Leonard; granddaughter-in-law, Isa Leonard, and 8 great grandkids and 2 great-great grandkids.

A Rosary will be recited on November 15, 2025; 12:00 p.m., followed by a Prayer Service at Colonial Funeral Home, located at 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148.
