

Lt. Col. Curtis R Keogh, USAF (Ret), 92, went on his celestial flight on October 19, 2014 at the Army Residence Community after a short illness. Curt was born July 17, 1922 at Fort Yates, North Dakota. He joined the Army Air Corps in 1941 and served in Northern Africa and Italy where his B-25 was badly damaged over Anzio Beach. He was able to fly the plane out over the Mediterranean where is crew was able to evacuate the bomber just before it exploded. After WWII and college he joined the U.S. Air Force and proudly served his country until retiring in San Antonio. While in the Air Force, Curt had numerous assignments, but his favorite was as a test pilot for the B-58.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters and a brother and his oldest grandson, Daniel. Survived by his wife of 67 years, Edith Keogh; son Timothy Keogh and grandson Sean; son, Gregory (Glyn) Keogh and grandchildren Cherie, Josh and Zach; son Richard (Maryanne) Keogh and granddaughters, Jenalee and Cassandra: daughter Nancy (Bob) Holcomb and granddaughter Jessica (Ben) Reynolds and great grandsons, Eliot and Geo, as well as other family and numerous friends.
Curtis Keogh will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday November 14 in the Chapel at the Army Residence Community. In lieu of flowers please send memorials to Army Residence Community Employee Gift Fund.
