

Mary Xochitl Hinojosa, age 72, of San Antonio, entered into Eternal Glory on Friday, November 09, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded by her family & loved ones. She was born on January 19, 1940 in Galveston, Texas to Manuel Hinojosa & Esperanza (Salazar) Gonzalez. She was employed for many years by Levi’s Strauss before her retirement. She was a longtime resident of Brownsville, Texas& a member of First Baptist Church there for many years. She moved to San Antonio in 1999, where she became an active member of the First Baptist Church Universal City. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her children, Felicia Jane Cepeda and husband Tony & Diana Rosalee Flores and husband Rene, her siblings – Eduardo Hinojosa and wife Olga, Juanita Smith and husband John, Ildefonso Gonzalez, Rosalee Smart and husband Randall, Marco Gonzalez and wife Donna, and her youngest brother Greg Gonzalez. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Stephen Anthony Cepeda, and Jennifer, Jesus, and Felipe Flores, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial celebration service will be held at First Baptist Church Universal City on Wednesday, November 14th, 2012 at 11:00am. A home memorial minyan will be held later that day at 3:00pm at the family home 5211 Two Hill Pass, San Antonio, TX 78247.
