Mary Ann Kirby

Mary was born on October 25, 1957, in Guam, to Ignacio and Lucia Asuncion. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth, kindness, and steadfast love touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Mary’s life was a testament to her unwavering faith and dedication to her family. She created a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished traditions that will be carried on by her loved ones. A faithful member of Saint Monica’s Catholic Church, Mary found joy in serving the Lord and helping others. Her generous spirit and compassionate heart were a source of comfort and inspiration for all she encountered.

Mary is survived by her beloved husband, Ron Kirby; her children, Shawn Kirby, Stacy (Jerome) Jordan and Michael Montoya; her cherished grandchildren, Kianah, Kamaiah, Isaiah, and Elijah Jordan, as well as Lauren and Gabriel Kirby. She is also survived by her mother, Lucia Asuncion; her sister, Rosalind Santos; and her brothers, Ignacio Jr., Tracy, Jesse, Edward, and Michael Asuncion. She leaves behind a large extended family, including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Ignacio Asuncion.

A visitation for Mary will be held from 5:00p.m.-8:00p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2025 with Holy Rosary to begin at 6:30p.m.at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148. Funeral Mass will begin at 9:30a.m. Friday, January 24, 2025 at St Monica Catholic Church, 501 North St, Converse, TX 78109. A committal service will follow at 11:30a.m. to 11:50a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
