Michael Allen Vogel

Michael Allen Vogel was born on November 24, 1953 in Fort Smith, Arkansas and passed away with family by his side on May 24, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Linda Kim Vogel; brothers and sisters, Carl and Chris Vogel, Max and Tina Vogel, Tim and Diane Baldi, Becky and Dennis Schryver, Willie and Tracey Vogel, LuAnn and Richard Holden, Sherrie and Fred Shows, Roger and Vicki Vogel, and Wanita Greenwood; brother-in-law, Rick; mother and father-in-law, Al and Judy Zwick and father and mother-in-law, Glen and Judy Foster; children, Melissa, Debra, Jason, and Amanda; stepchildren, Adrianne and Seth; grandchildren, Keyara, Elizabeth, Kayleen, Korbyn, Kassidy, Jeffrey, Jeremy, Jr., Jarid, Andrew, Crista, and Ethan; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friends, Teresa and Tim Carter; and many other loving family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, Max and Jean; sisters, Vicky and Saundra; sister-in-laws, Patty and Karren; children, Michael, Wendy, and Wesley; and great-niece, Hope.

Mike honorably served his country in the United States Army. He especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren, he loved them all so much. Mike recently retired and his hobbies included riding his motorcycle, fishing, and planting his garden. He will be greatly missed by his family and countless friends.

A visitation will be held at Colonial Funeral Home, Universal City, TX on Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held at Kirby Baptist Church at 5114 Seguin Rd. Kirby, TX on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
