M/Sgt. Foley Bernard Traxler, Jr. USAF, (Retired) passed away on December 1, 2013 at the age of 72. He was born on December 15, 1940 to Foley Bernard Traxler Sr., and Lillie Mae (Scherry) Traxler. Ben leaves behind his wife, Cynthia Traxler; sons, Joshua William Traxler and Patrick Jason Traxler all of San Antonio, TX. He graduated from Sam Houston High School in Houston, TX in 1960 and joined the USAF in 1961, serving in various assignments over the next twenty years, including a tour in Viet Nam, retiring in 1981.Ben was a straight forward man with a tender heart. With an infectious laugh and a warming smile, we were all better off having him in our lives. Every Sunday you knew where you could find him, in his favorite chair watching his Cowboys drive to victory. If his family was his first love, the Cowboys were a short second. So Jerry Jones, we ask if you can leave the roof open of the Cowboys stadium open so our Dad can watch his beloved cowboys! A Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Colonial Funeral Home from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A graveside service will follow to Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 2:00 PM. with military honors.
