

Paul Terrance Nurse, 76 years old, of Atkins, Tx died Tuesday, June 19, 2012. He was born to the late Charles Stanley Nurse and Beatrice Virginia Kenney, May 11, 1936 in Manhatten, New York. Paul graduated from Brooklyn Tech High school in 1953 and received an associate’s degree from Saint Philips College of San Antonio in 1977. He married Marilyn Reava Nurse in 1958, and they lived in different parts of the world before settling in Live Oak, Tx in 1973. Paul worked as an aircraft mechanic and as a technical Instructor until he retired as an E-6 from the Air Force in 1975. He also retired as a civil service employee in 2001. Paul was an avid reader who strongly believed in self improvement via books. He enjoyed fishing, dart shooting, and occasionally building model airplanes. Paul is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Nurse; survived by his former wife, Marilyn Nurse of Live Oak Tx, three sons; David Nurse of Kempner, Tx; Douglas Nurse of Dallas, Tx; and Darren Nurse of San Antonio, Tx. He is also survived by three daughter-in-laws, ten grand children, and six great grandchildren. A viewing will be held at 5:00 pm Wednesday at Colonial Universal Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 am Thursday at the Victory Gosepl Chapel. Burial will be held at 1:45 pm Thursday at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery.
