

Phyllis Jean Jameson was born July 10, 1941 and went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 24, 2022. She went home surrounded by family in the arms of her boyfriend, Rev. Harry, whom she has shared a married life together for over 65 years. She leaves behind a daughter, Omega Johnson; her 2 sons Daniel Jameson and Steven Jameson. Mrs. Jameson also leave behind beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pallbearers provided by the VFW.
She and Harry were missionaries in the Philippines for several years, as well as several other countries and the United States. She was the first woman in the world to receive the "Royal Ranger" leader plaque. Phyllis loved serving others and she demonstrated this by working as a Sunday school teacher; a missonettes leader; a member of the Daughters of the Nile; singing in the General Grand Chapter Choir; Volunteering in the Cibolo-Schertz school district. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star (Schertz Chapter #911), which she served for 55 years. During those years she earned the title Worthy Matron, Grand Officer for the Texas Chapter, as well as earning several star points.
Phyllis enjoyed working with people of all ages, but she had a special place in her heart for children. Most of all she enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
A visitation for Phyllis will be held Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, Texas 78148, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
