QuarterMaster 3 Dale F. Sanders, Sr. age 77 of San Antonio passed away December 30, 2010. He was born November 12, 1933 in Austin, Texas to William and Ruth (Anderson) Sanders. He is a Navy Veteran having served during the Korean War. He is preceded in death by his parents; 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years Irene Sanders; children, Mark Steven Sanders, Kim Denise Grona and husband Terry, Dale Frank Sanders II and wife Susan; grandchildren, Amanda Paige Hellinghausen, Courtney Renee Grona, Brooke Denise Grona and Madelyn Michele Sanders; numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 1:30 P.M. at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with military honors.
