Ronald J. McFadden

Ronald was born in Kenner, LA on November 3, 1955 to Glen and Maggie McFadden. Ronald was a very active young man who loved sports and was very good at basketball and football. Ronald graduated from Judson High School in 1975 and went on to serve in the U.S. Army for 6 years. During this time span, he met and wed his beautiful wife Angela McFadden in May of 1977. They had two wonderful girls Tamekia and Merissa. After his military career, Ronald went on to work for several companies, some in conjunction with his main employer, such as: Fredrick’s Air Conditioning/Roofing Co., Dr. Pepper, Retama Park, San Antonio Country Club, and Randolph AFB Commissary to help support his family. He arrived at the City of Live Oak in 1983 where he worked and served nearly 32 years and retired in November 2014 as the Superintendent of Public Works for the City of Live Oak. He was also commissioned and served as a Reserve Police Officer for the city of Live Oak from Oct. 17, 1983- Dec. 6, 1984. Ronald was a man that was easy to love and enjoy. He had a fun, loving, caring, and generous heart. Ron was an avid golfer and fisherman who enjoyed getting on the green and out on the lake whenever his free time allowed him to. He was also “Mr. Fix It”, who took time outside of his work to help many people who needed it. He was an exceptional example of a husband, father, and friend and will truly be missed.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Angela McFadden, his two daughters Tamekia Jones and Merissa McFadden, son-in-law Vince Jones, and grandchildren Alexis and Daevon. He is also survived by his sister and brother Loufran Brown and Dennis McFadden, and sister-in-law Vanessa McFadden and his mother-in-law Sadie M. Kee, along with a host of brother and sister-in-laws, nephews and nieces, and great nephews and nieces, who all cherished and loved him very much.
