Sarah J. Markulin of Schertz, Texas died on Thursday December 20, 2012 at the age of 87. Sarah was born on February 27, 1925 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to John and Jean McAfoos. She was very interested in genealogy, computers, reading and people. She was a budding poet and author, published in Mount Lebanon PA in the late 40s, she loved to do blogs and write stories. She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Charles Markulin. She is survived by her children, Daniel E. Markulin and wife Christine, Karen Battaglia and husband Tony, Gregg Markulin and wife June, Gail Markulin and husband Thomas Andrew; grandchildren, Jason and Theodore Markulin, Eden Palmer, Tessa and Peter Andrew, Marcy Naughton, Barbara Martin; sisters, Rhonda Dunham, and Audrey Chiapetta. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home.
